The Queensland Biosecurity Strategy (QBS) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework provides a structured approach to tracking progress towards the goals outlined in the Queensland Biosecurity Strategy 2024–2029. This framework is designed to ensure accountability, foster collaboration, and enable evidence-based decision-making across the biosecurity system.
The M&E Framework focuses on key activities such as developing baseline metrics, tracking annual progress, and producing an End-of-Strategy Report to evaluate achievements and identify areas for improvement. BQ is also currently developing enhanced measures for reporting to ensure transparency and effectiveness. These measures will align with the strategic objectives of the QBS and provide valuable insights to guide future actions.
As part of this work, feedback is being sought from biosecurity partners to inform the 2026–27 QBS Statement of Intent and performance measures. Partner input will help ensure priorities remain relevant to Queensland’s evolving biosecurity landscape.
