Privacy statement
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) values your feedback and input to inform and improve services for the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sector. The DPI eHub is an online platform designed to facilitate your participation in online surveys, polls and engagement activities It is hosted by Engagement Hub, a third-party cloud-based service operated by My Business App Pty Ltd.
Collection and use of personal information
We collect your personal information during registration so you can participate in DPI eHub activities. This information is securely stored in DPI’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system hosted on the eHub site. During the subscription process you will be asked to create a screen name, which can be a pseudonym, and you may choose for your screen name not to be shown publicly.
Your personal information will only be used to:
- contact you about updates or information related to the engagement activity you participate in
- notify you of future eHub activities.
De-identified information will be used to conduct audience analysis to better understand stakeholder trends and issues.
You can opt out of communications or engagement activities at any time. Your subscription details will not be shared with other agencies or third parties except in aggregated and de-identified formats for analytics purposes, or unless authorised or required by law.
Management Logs
When you visit the DPI eHub, our server logs information for statistical purposes, including:
- Your server address and top-level domain name (e.g., .com, .gov, .au).
- The date and time of your visit.
- Pages accessed and documents downloaded.
- The previous site visited.
- The type of browser used.
This data is used to improve our website and services. No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities unless required by law.
Cookies
This website uses cookies to store information and enhance your browsing experience. Cookies allow the site to recognise returning users and customise content. If you configure your browser to reject cookies, you can still browse the site, but some features may be limited.

The DPI eHub may contain links to external websites. DPI is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of these sites. Please review their privacy policies before engaging with them.
Other Queensland Government agencies and statutory authorities may also use DPI eHub to post surveys, polls or otherwise engage with you if you choose to do so. Your subscription information will not be shared with any other agency or third party, except in aggregated and de-identified form for the purpose of audience analytics.
Public contributions
Your contribution to the engagement activity (e.g. survey responses) will be publicly available, unless the consultation is listed as private. Contributions will only be used for the specific engagement project you are participating in.
Privacy compliance

In some cases, you may be redirected from the eHub to complete a consultation activity on an external platform (such as SurveyMonkey). In this case, the collection, storage and usage of your personal information and responses will be subject to the terms of that service provider’s privacy policy. You are advised to read the privacy policies of such third parties prior to participation.
