By participating in the Youth Summit your students will:

Shape the Future: Influence Australia's biosecurity direction towards 2030.

Empower students: Enhance their skills, leadership and cultural understanding.

Exclusive Opportunity: Only 40 spaces available. Cost: FREE!

How to register your interest

This opportunity is open to students in Year 10 who are interested in biosecurity issues and how they can help protect Queensland's industries, economy, environment, biodiversity, and our way of life. It would also be of particular interest to students who have unique and insightful views on environmental and social issues and want to be engaged on issues that affect them.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 14 June 2024.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Students will be required to be chaperoned by teachers. The number of teacher chaperones will be determined once students are nominated and selected. Costs associated with teacher participation will be covered, including Supervisor Teacher Relief Scheme and travel expenses. Return flights, overnight accommodation and meals where required, will be arranged by the event organisers.

By submitting this form, you are registering your school’s interest in the Biosecurity Youth Summit and continued engagement with Biosecurity Queensland and the Biosecurity Collective (event organisers).

We will contact you with more information after the closing date.
