There's a consultation opportunity open until the 12th of September to provide your feedback on A Fresh Start for Private Protected Areas – Discussion Paper. Link: https://www.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0031/612859/fresh-start-for-private-protected-areas-discussion-paper.pdf

Queenslanders, including farmers and other landholders, are invited to share their thoughts on private protected areas through the discussion paper. 

The paper explains how private protected areas currently work in Queensland, and asks for ideas on how to grow them across the state.

Your feedback will help create a new approach to expand protected areas and achieve better environmental outcomes for the future.

Accountability Framework Initiative (AFI) is currently doing public consultation on the Accountability Framework - it closes on 14 March 2025.
