    A new document outlining Australia’s national biosecurity system is now available, detailing how governments, industry and the community work together to manage biosecurity risks. It covers governance, roles and responsibilities, key frameworks like the Biosecurity Act 2015 and IGAB, and highlights collaboration through the NBC and national and Queensland strategies.

    Biosecurity Queensland has refreshed its threats and pathways research to reflect recent changes in risk, behaviour and the operating environment. The research identifies 10 key pathways for high-risk species, alongside priority behaviours and audiences. Six strategic behaviour change priorities were confirmed, providing a strong evidence base to guide partner-led interventions, policy, education and awareness across the biosecurity system.
